TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SKIP HIRE (CONDENSED)

 

1. Booking & Payment

Quotations are based on supplied details (size, waste type, location, and hire duration). Incomplete or incorrect info may incur extra charges.

Full payment or an agreed deposit is required prior to or upon delivery.

2. Delivery, Access & Placement

You must ensure safe, clear access for the delivery vehicle. Failed deliveries due to access issues or obstructions will incur a call-out fee.

Skips must be placed on stable ground. You are responsible for any driveway, lawn, or property damage, unless caused by our negligence.

You are responsible for obtaining any necessary permits or consents (municipal, body corporate, or landowner) for placement. Do not move or relocate the skip after delivery.

3. Proper Loading & Prohibited Waste

Loading: Waste must be level with the indicated max level for building rubble or other heavy waste types  e.g soil, rocks. Garden waste can be loaded beyond max level with prior arrangement. Overloaded skips will not be collected until excess waste is removed, or additional fees are paid.

Prohibited Items: No asbestos, hazardous chemicals, paint, oils, gas cylinders, explosives, medical waste, batteries, or biological waste. Contaminated loads will incur isolation, cleaning, and specialist disposal fees.

Do not burn, crush, or compact waste inside the skip.

4. Hire Period & Collection

The standard hire period is 5 days unless otherwise agreed. Skips remain the property of the Company.

You must notify us when the skip is ready for collection. Extended hire beyond the agreed term is subject to daily charges.

Clear access must be provided for collection; blocked or inaccessible skips incur a call-out fee.

5. Liability & Damage

You are responsible for the skip while on your site and liable for damage caused by fire, misuse, overloading, or unauthorized moving.

To the extent permitted by South African law, the Company is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
